No Longer Ozymandias

My unique point of view I sometimes lose
From rock to barmaid yet frequently retain
A sense of difference that I blithlely choose
but couldn't once, I hope I shall refuse
dull blends, though it's evident now that rain
ans sun ignite a merry fuse
in all. Although dictations of abuse
creeating obscure patters riding down to pain
stay in me it's a more sensible use
of here and now and now to did and lose
old woes with bucket and spade. To Spring again
into the crowded beach of holiday. It's no use
to think of 'me' not 'we' refusing my awareness that we are pretty much all the same.
No longer Ozymandias, sure I lose
my colossal 'Sod it all!'
and think I choose
new choices, knowing uncertainty remains
perennial, my gains I may well lose
to next to nought.
The moment's my one true use.
