for young men who seek
companionship
in bedrooms of desire

from relationships one to
another---leaving
children in their wake

cries left unheard---as
fathers move on.

I weep for the aftermath
of love gone astray.

I weep to and yet what might the agony have been if they had stayed where love had long since gone I wonder.

Thank you, Esther. I am from the older days where men did not simply get together with a lady for lust. To me the arrival of a child is a seal of togetherness, and to simply move on to another bed is strange and sad. We have a dear young man who treats us like his surrogate parents, and are honoured to be so. Yet his life style is so different from ours, and lives his life as above. Two children left behind---no child payments---and he is now on his third relationship in five years, all common-law. We tell him as caring parents, love is much more than lust. Sound moralizing?
