If Only

I could touch

the sky

and hear

the angels sing

I would dance

with my

mom and dad

and play

but I can’t

‘cause they’re

no longer

here—

they’re with

angels and

having such fun

singing for me.

i liked this poem richard, i liked it because it was easy to read and the ending was sweet!

Thank you so much. Simplicity, short under 20 lines and the voice of the poem at the moment of happening.is what I strive for. Re advice -- don't believe anyone who rips your work up, it is YOUR vision. Most people are kind in their remarks and there are some really, really good poets on this site. You are a good writer yourself -- keep it up. -Richard
