Just a Kid

September will replace  

conversations

on weather – 29C today

Phew and so glad 

                                                          for cool off on the horizon of                               

changing times

as reality boldly steps

into a plethora

of pain for a young man

lying in bed

bone cancer trying to

steal his song

that leg and hip

now joined to titanium

won’t stall your spirit

young man of the

future - because grandpa

will never stop

praying for

 the kid.
