Like a Rainbow

I come and go like a

hit and run

feet scampering

shirt flying

sneakers smacking the asphalt

sidewalk – a cheaper quality

to protect town’s budget,

cement the usual procedure.

Events forecast my coming.

I’m known to be a hustler

whether in sales or

simply visiting. Food escapes me

as I reduce and shut-ins

miss me

if weather does not co-operate.
