The Maple is a family
of branches
thighs of toughness
granted over
generations of
growth
red glow reflections
as leaves
drip dripping into
its own
imagination-
Reach out and touch
it’s
exquisiteness
it’s rapture
overhanging and
trembling with shades
of sentiment
a memory of voices
calling-
Come and be
my bride.
