In a Refuge Camp in...
By Richard L. Provencher
- 1013 reads
I see a little boy
in sockless feet
a sore on one toe
and I take him
into my heart.
He smiles his wide
squinty-eyes and
I take him into my
soul.
A little sister waits
for her meal of rice
and he brings it
to her but
first he hugs
his little sister-
mom is gone
and daddy too
buried by the creek
where others rest-
and I cry.

make a difference
Very touching and is a very common story especially in the third world. I also believe we can make a difference Richard. I met a young girl she gave me a rainbow.

There is terrible need Richard
There is terrible need Richard and all of us want to help but remember, give a man a fish and he has food for today, teach a man to fish and he has food for his whole life.

It doesn't help to preach to a starving man, bring the gospel but administer it to a full stomach. And thank God to missionaries and all such selfless people.
