Frightening as a death wish

the sea creates

an undercurrent of danger

fearful for those

aware of its measure-

its wide promenade closely

parades across a rocky shore.

Beneath waves of steel

a slingshot of pain lingers

as dwellers in seaside

homes are captivated by the

evening swells of menace.
