Shadows
By Richard L. Provencher
- 335 reads
A couple of shadows
acting as live figures leaned
into the evening
falling beneath colours
on an ending sunny
day-
then a slow-building
shriek emanated
from one deformed mouth
pain building all day
it’s hungry.
Legs hardy
arms raised to full height
& long cloaks
covered thin shoulders.
Never mind the stink
they’re coming to eat you!

from canada?
Are you scared of shadows Richard? Shadows don't smell, never mind eat you!
When are you writing again Richard? We're so used to regular entries, are there other Abctales writers in Canada? It is always interesting to read of people in overseas countries. You were the very first to comment on my work when I joined and I remember you speaking of your wife Esther.
Keep well & Nolan
