Side Pocket

Thank you, Scratch for your usual great encouragment. This poem is actually taking me back to the days after my stroke when I fought the battle, with prayers -- a good wife -- and family, to regain my bodily control. It grieves me to see too many give up and not rub limbs, force movement nor pray for healing.
 

Thank you too, Bee, another great ABC friend. Right now I am about 90% recovered from my stroke, still fight with recurring numbness in my foot, off and on poor balance -- I'm like one of those amateur trapeze artists you see in the cartoons, when I try to walk on grass. I seem to write in spurts now and still enjoy writing. As long as new thoughts and ideas come into my heart and brain, my fingers can do the job.
