Two Views and One Lasting

Can the sun be bold and bright

when Mid-East provides such strife?

Bombs colouring scenery with

a sky full of clouds

that never seem to go away --- dark

ones at that…

I know there has to be an end

not for beauty in the land --

it’s bleeding and waste

a parallel of worlds within.

Yet love remains

no matter what bridges have fallen.
