A tadpole is size ‘very
small’ yet large enough to be
seen by predators.
One wiggled his way into
liberated living
away from his school-friends
perhaps too bold
for a trip of discovery-
searching for aquatic plant
food like a game. Then
a current joined in the fun
seizing him to share
a smaller stream
and dragged him to a
waterfall landing
among a convention of trout.
Being chased turned
into a frenzied visit – ‘Gulp’
and life’s cycle
of curiosity journeys on.
