Getting rid of the clutter

A woman sat at a cluttered table, a teapot, cup and saucer were in the way of the newspaper she was reading. She gazed out the window, staring at the trees that were towering over the park which was opposite the café. After a few minutes she left to go back to her apartment which was only a few streets away. She wore a white blouse and some skinny jeans with her blue duffle coat as long as her knees. She walked back to her apartment, and there she sat down at her laptop and finished writing her essay which she needed to hand into college the next day. It was a mild Sunday afternoon when the woman came into the café and ordered a pot of tea for one with a scone to eat as well.
The next day the women woke up at her usual 06:30 and waited at the bus stop to get to college. She had headphones in her ears, but was listening to everything that was going on around her. After a while of waiting the bus eventually came and she got on it like she did every morning, with the usual people going. The bus’ engine started up and they were off down the same root like normal.
After half an hour on the bus they arrived at the college. There the woman met her friends as they gathered around drinking coffee at 08:30 in the morning. The sun had just risen and there was a cold wind in the air, there were puddles on the floor, and ice on the grass.
At nine everyone went into their classes, the woman took English and Music, in hope to become a musician when she graduates. Her friends were sat near the front while she was sat near the back, she pulled her laptop and books from her bag, and started jotting down notes in her pad, until the page was completely full of writing and doodles. When the class finished she went outside to join her friends for lunch in the town. She only grabbed a chicken salad sandwich, but that would be enough to last her through the day.

I like your sparse language
I like your sparse language and things bubbling under the surface. There is a sense of sadness and something happening. Is this part of a longer piece?
