the Black Swan ballet

Like a dense plague
of Darwin's coal dark-moths,
we fall like cold acid rain
leaking into
sealed metal newspaper-capsules...
stubborn stories
at the edge of the news,
some consuming hole
that just won't let you peruse:
the football, the war,
the fashion in shoes
See, man, it's us:
"Oyibos"
the lean, mean and unclean,
skating onto the cultural scene:
the veritable mythic undead
swollen to many millions,
legion in African backwaters,
in shades and Audis
on the American fast-track,
haunting the hallways of European power:
We're victims of viruses,
recipients of sinful afflictions,
'evil' and 'innocent'
mixed and tangled
like the labyrinths of man and history,
war and peace,
'crime and punishment,'
plague and bread
of course you'll try
a stake to the head

Dark, compelling and timely -
Dark, compelling and timely - you mingle fantasy horror with reality. I'd lose the 'like' as first word though.
