“Don’t kick my dog!” Briana shouted.
“I didn’t kick him. I moved him over with my foot,” Debbie said. She didn’t take her eyes off the book she was reading.
Sometimes Briana loathed her sister. And she hated sharing a bedroom with her. They didn’t have much choice, however. They lived with their parents in a small townhouse.
Gianni let out a canine yelp. Briana got off her bed, walked over to Debbie and slapped her face. Debbie jumped up immediately and grabbed Briana’s long black hair and pulled her head from side to side. She then pushed her hard, which made Briana lose her balance and fall to the floor.
“That does it!” Briana said. She got up and flew out of the bedroom.

Two minutes hadn’t passed when Briana burst into the room. Debbie looked up.
“I hate you! I hate you!” Briana screamed. Debbie saw the shiny, raised blade of the kitchen steak knife in Briana’s hand but she didn’t feel it as her sister plunged it briskly into her thorax again and again. The sheen was the last flicker of light Debbie ever saw.
