If the rain eases
and the mist rises,
she’ll take a stroll
along the coast road.
Stop off
at the cafe
near the pier
where she sees
seals...sometimes.
If the rain stops
she’ll change
the sheets
on their bed...
maybe the towels.
Hang them out;
if they don’t dry,
tough-shit...But
then again
if the clouds lift,
she’ll twist her hair
into a chignon.
Put her face on;
paint a smile.
Feed the cat.
Grab a pen.
Write a post-it.
Catch a train.
Get a life.

The contrast between a grey
The contrast between a grey day and a bright day affects us all! (maybe she could write poetry or letters?) Today has been a bright day here after a run of grey ones.

Hi Tina,
I agree with Pia, much rather be out for a stroll,
then going to cafe near a pier, to watch seals,
what a wonderful scenic picture you paint with words.
Jenny.
