Crystals, when all of a sudden Nathen walked in.
"Martha!" he said getting her attention.
"Yes Nathen! sorry I was miles away, what can I do
for you?"
Nathen sat down, he seemed pensive. "What's wrong
with you boy?" asked Martha.
"You've been so good taking me and Ben in, I don't
know how to thankyou."
"Now don't you be silly, you and that lad Ben have
been no trouble at all."
Nathen took Martha's hands in his, "I was so weak
when you found me, I could not have gone much further and poor Ben lost his family," Nathen
hesitated..."Martha, I must leave, I'm missing my
family, I must find them."
"But you have no idea where they are." said Martha.
"Yes I know, but I must at least try to find them.
You have no idea how much I miss them."
Martha squeezed Nathen's hands, "well Nathen, I do
understand completely, but I'll miss you, you've
been a good friend, almost like a son. Have you
told Ben yet?"
"No not yet, if it's okay with you, could Ben stay
here? if he wants to ofcourse."
"Well I suppose so, but do you think he will want
to stay here without you? he seems very attached to
you Nathen."
Suddenly there was a commotion outside. Missy burst
in. "Quick Mam! it be Willy."
"What's all the noise about?" shouted Martha.
"Willy's got bad news for you Mam." said Missy.
Willy grabbed at Martha's arm. "What is it boy,
what's wrong?"
"There be trouble coming and soon, we have to go
now, you gotta believe me."
Martha always trusted Willy, he was blind, but he
seemed to have a sixth sense, which was why they
never feared danger.
