Going Through The Change

While working in Farepak factory

hot flushes would come over me,

then with no way for me to escape

it left me in this embarrassing state,

 

hampers they would keep on coming

my boss approaching I'd be glowing,

I'm sure he thought I fancied him

shamefaced I'd give a sheepish grin,

 

hot sweats ooze out of every pore

increasing my humiliation more,

if I'm huffy don't mind me...

it's the change in life you see.

Must have been difficult in that sort of environmnet, couldnt slip out for some cooling air and move about. Rhiannon

I can look back and laugh about it now, but at the time it was so uncomfortable.

Hi Rhiannon,

no, you're right, once we were on the line packing hampers, there wasn't any escape, I just had to put up with it.

Though I did enjoy making up Christmas hampers and met some really interesting characters while I was there.

This is a fun way of writing about the problems of the change. I went on hormone replacement, so missed out on most of the drama of it.
