chapter one; demetri's awakening

A sharp pain intruded into my subconcious. It was excrutiating to the point of being blinding. I gasped, but was unable to inhale creating a very painful choking noise. I could hear a voice above me somewhere laugh.

"Ok liam, just tell us what we want to know and you'll be homefree." It sneered.

Yah sure. Wait. Did he say liam? Oh no. Oh no! Son of bitch. What did he get me into now?! Fuck! Liam!

I coughed up some blood. "I'm not Liam." That was all I could manage, and it barely came out as a raspy whisper.

More pain. It felt as if my leg was on fire. I writhed as I tried to cringe away from the attack. "There's no point in denial. Just tell us what we want to know and all this pain will come to an end."

I flinched as I responded, "I'm not liam. I- I'm demetri." I couldn't help myself. I knew I should've jus kept my mouth shut. But damn it to hell if I was going to die because of liam. Why should I be the one to suffer? Damn it liam!

Ouch. This time it was a punch in the face. I could feel my nose shatter. Blood pooled down my face and clouded my vision even more. I'd expected and braced myself for this kind of response. But it still hurt like hell.

"Bullshit! Liam stop playing games! You were in here only moments ago. I know its you!" A kick in the gut.

I really needed to learn when to shut up. This was only going to get me into more trouble. But I didn't care. "My name is demetri snow! I have multi personality disorder! I have no idea what you're talking about!"

Something cold and hard pressed against my face. I heard the safety latch get switched. Son of a bitch. Another hand clenched my hair and pulled me to my feet. "Prove it. Or die! I'm through playing your games liam..."

I staggered, " how the hell am I supposed to prove it?! It just happens! I black out and next thing I know I'm somewhere I don't recognise. Usually my counterparts write a little note of what they did and everynow and then I can get a hazy recollection, but that's it! I can't force it!" I was shivering, my eyes locked on to my captor waiting for his reaction.

He sneered, "well then demetri snow, you'd better learn. That or I'm just gonna have to force him out of you. Either way its gonna be painful on your behalf."

Son of bitch. Liam I'm going to kill you. "Fantastic."
