waiting

there is a tendency
when waiting at the side of a road
to think
'what am i doing with my life?'

or maybe in a queue
you think that too;
'who are these bastards'
'and why are they paying on card?'

sat in a restaurant,
and you wait for a coffee
and wait
and wait
'don't they know how much other stuff i have to do?'

this is all understandable
but

while it may seem like it would be good
to take matters into your own hands
to run wildly into traffic
to shove that pin pad down their throat
to stand up and throw a chair and scream

'HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE!?'
'HONESTLY!'

but honestly,
if you did this
your life would not be worth living.

so chill out i guess?
