Two doctor's came to Maya's aid. Rayna's heart was pounding. She feared the worst.
They picked her up, and placed her back in her hospital bed. She opened her eyes, and her body jerked.
She was breathing heavily.
"What happened to her?"
Asked Rayna
"The medication we gave her made her dizzy, and collapse. We told her not to get up without help. Why did you disobey us, Maya?"
Asked one of the doctor's
"I want to know what is going on."
Said Maya
"What do you mean?"
Asked the doctor
"My sister told me that she overheard you talking to each other about me, but refused to tell her anything. Saying that you were dreading having to tell my parents."
The doctor looked over at Rayna with a mean look on his face before turning his attention back to Maya.
"We weren't talking about you. You're not our only patient. We were talking about a two week old baby girl who we just diagnosed with heart failure."
Rayna put her head down in shame. She truly thought they were talking about Maya.
"All of your tests looked good.
You should be able to leave the hospital in a few days."
He then walked out of the room.
Maya gave Rayna a mean look and said,
"Thank you so much Rayna for making me look like an idiot!"
"I'm sorry, Maya. I was sure they were talking about you."
"Just leave!"
"Maya, please just..."
"Just leave!"
Shouted Maya
Rayna did as she asked. She tried to call her mother, but she still wasn't answering her phone. So, she left a message...
"Mom? Please call me back when you get a chance."

Anne had left to talk to her granddaughter's doctors.
Mariya was sitting by herself in the waiting room.
The television set was left on. It was some late night talk show.
The chairs were red and beige. There were seven line up by the back wall, three ahead, two to the right and two to the left. In the center was a table with old magazines on them. There were fish tanks built into these pillar looking things. She decided to try calling Rayna.
She reached her just in time. She was about to walk back into the hospital, where she would be forced to turn her cell phone off.
"Rayna?"
"I'm here, mom."
She said
"How... How is Maya?"
"The doctor's said her test results were good, and she should be able to go home in a few days. How's dad?"
"We don't know. He's still unconscious. They said there's no way of predicting when or... if he'll wake up."
"Mom, are you all right?"
"Yes, why?"
"I know dad isn't well, but your voice tells me that something else is wrong here."
What Rayna was referring to was the thing with Elena, but Mariya did not want to tell her daughters (or anyone else for that matter) about that until she knows for sure if it is true or not because it might ruined their view of their father.
"No, dear. I am fine. I guess it's just everything that has happened to me in the past few days is starting to hit me. I'll be fine. I'm glad your sister is doing better. How are you doing?"
"I... I am fine. Maya is angry with me again, and Caelia went home. I've been here alone."
"Oh, Maya will come around. She's been through a lot in a short amount of time. She just needs time alone to think about things, and I'm sure she'll be back to normal. I have to go now. I'll try calling you as soon as I can."
"All right, mom. Goodnight."

Maya was lying in bed, looking up at the ceiling. She knew what happened with Rayna was an accident, but she couldn't just forgive her for making her believe that she was dying. She was thinking of Brent and Yulian Demurtas. She wondered if any of them were capable of attempting to kill her. She didn't believe that any of them were, regardless of what Antanas thought.
She was trying to think of anyone who might want her dead.
Who could have poisoned her?

John had fallen asleep, when he awoke to a strange sound.
At first he thought it was the TV, but remember that he lowered the sound because it was distracting him from his work.
The sound continued.
He got up, and slowly opened the front door to see if anyone was out there, but nothing was there.
He looked for several minutes before realizing that it must have been his imagination. He walked back inside, and sat back down to continue working when he saw that all of his papers were missing. He looked all around the room, but they were gone. He looked out the door to see if maybe the wind had blown them out, when suddenly he he felt someone knife him in the back and put a rag with chloroform over his face.
He fought for as long as he could, but the attacker (and chloroform) was too powerful, and he passed out.
