The Introduction
It was August 25th.
School was to officially begin today.
The Alekseev's were starting their day as always.
They were a family of four.
The wife and mother, Mariya, was making breakfast.
She had shoulder length medium blond hair.
She had been coloring it that color for the past fifteen years.
She was 39 years old.
5'4" and weighed 123 pounds.
She worked as a florist.
The husband and father, Antanas was sitting at the kitchen table sipping a cup of freshly brewed coffee, and reading the paper.
He was 6'1" and weighed 160 pounds at 40 years of age.
He had closely cut black hair, clean shaven with a strong jaw.
He worked as a lawyer.
They had 17 year old identical twin daughters, Maya and Rayna.
Maya was 5'6" and weighed 125 pounds.
She had long, wavy dark brown hair that was well cared for.
She was happy, sociable person with a lot of friends, and a care-free personality.
She cared little for school, and barely passed any tests.
Rayna, on the other hand, was her exact opposite.
She hated having a twin because individuality was something that meant a great deal to her.
Her hair was cut razor styled, and was above her shoulders.
It was colored a lighter shade of brown with candy apple red streaks sporadically through it.
She was a quiet and withdrawn person, who did very well in school, but had no friends.
Everyone thought she was weird, and refused to hang around her.
This seemed not to phase her.
She would rather be alone.
She was trying for a scholarship to the prestigious Vittoria University, in hopes of becoming a lawyer like her father.
She dressed however she wanted, even known to show up to school in the same clothing she wore the previous day.
Appearance meant little to her.
She purposely wore very heavy makeup, and did everything in her power to make herself different from her twin sister.

Maya and Rayna walked to school because it wasn't that far away.
They usually took different paths to school, not wanting to be seen with each other.
Antanas had just left for work.
Mariya went into work an hour later, so she spent it cleaning the house.
Rayna stood before the school building, staring at it, and it somehow seemed to be staring back at her.
She wanted to good education, but wished she could receive it without having to deal with people.
Maya was immediately greeted by her friends.
The guys stared at her, silently praying that she would notice them.
The girls, well most of them either wanted to be her friend, or were jealous of her.
Maya and Rayna both had History class first.
Their teacher, Mrs. Neroni, stood before the class, and made an announcement.
"You all are very lucky.
We have a special guest here with us this week.
He is Mr. Aleksandar Antonov, Professor of anatomy at Vittoria University..
You are probably wondering why he is here in your History class.
That is because he used to teach History before he changed careers, and actually asked if he could come and talk to you.
He is a very respected man, and I hope that's how you will treat him."
Just then, a well dressed man stepped into the room next to Mrs. Neroni.
He appeared to be in his mid to late 30s with styled black hair that was starting to Grey.
.
He was dressed in a dark Grey suit.
Mrs. Neroni sat on a chair in the back of the classroom.
Mr. Antonov now stood before the class.
He took a deep breath in, and cleared his throat.
"Most of you are probably wondering why I'm here.
Yes, to teach History, but also to help guide you.
To help guide you with your life, and future careers.
Chances are, most of you have not given much thought to your future.
You're young, and free.
Why would you need to think about your future now?
You've got all the time in the world.
Well, you don't!
It's very important that you start making plans for your future now.
Even if you're not sure what it is you want from life.
That's what I'm here to help you with."
He spoke with a slight Bulgarian accent.
At that moment, Mrs. Neroni left the room.
Mr. Antonov stepped further back, and said,
"Today, we will not learn about History, we will make it.
I want you all to write an essay on how you would change things to make this world better,
and how you can better yourself."
Maya was staring at her fingernails, when she glanced over at Rayna.
She seemed to be glued to the new teacher.
This was out of her character.
"Psss.....
Rayna, Ray.."
Whispered Maya
Rayna did not reply.
Maya whispered to her twice more, but still nothing.
Finally, she crumbled up a piece of paper and tossed it at her, removing her from her trance.
"What do you want?"
She whispered.
"Just to ask you why you're acting so strange."
"What do you mean?
I'm listening to Mr. Antonov."
Maya had a grin on her face as she whispered,
Oh.........."
***
Antanas was getting ready to meet with a client when he received a call from his wife, Mariya.
"Hello, honey.
What can I do for you?"
Asked Antanas
"I just wanted to inform that another body had been discovered in a dumpster at the construction site where they're building those new homes."
Said Mariya.
"Oh, not again!
How many does that make?"
"28 victims in six months."
"That has got to be some kind of record.
Are they ever going to catch this maniac?"
"I hope so.
No one is safe anymore.
I am so afraid that one or both or our daughters will be next."
"The girls are smart.
I'm sure if anyone can allude the killer, it's them."
"We can't know that for sure.
It's sickening to think of all of the innocent lives that were lost because of this madman.
Most of them were young girls who had their whole lives ahead of them."
"Don't get yourself upset.
I'm sure that the police are doing everything in their power to catch him."
