The Cult

Gabriel sat in the comfortable seat with his eyes almost closed. From the center of the ceiling, he could see a bright, sharp light hitting the two bodies. The Spring Equinox popped into his mind. Yes, the day and night were equally powerful now. Good and Evil, the eternal feminine and the eternal masculine... they were all equal forces. He tried to think of something deep, something that would resurrect his sorry soul from oblivion. His eyes suddenly popped open. Yes, the sound of those young lovers in an eternal embrace looked enticing. Then, he closed his eyes.
His eyes looked inward. Could he see God now. In this stillness, did God reveal himself to him? Christ was born at a time when darkness was overpowering the light... near the winter solstice. Didn't God reveal himself when things were terribly and evilly wrong? Then where was God during the Holocaust? Where was God? Did God really reveal himself in the stillness?
"Why is God's eye separated from the pyramid on the dollar bill?" the master asked.
"Because God is beyond time and space?"
"How can anyone be beyond time and space?"
"He lives in eternity."
"Isn't eternity space without time?"
Space without time, endless space. Then there were recurrences, which made you think of time. The sun rising and the sun falling... the waves of the Ocean, etc. Could space exist without time?
"Gabriel, is God all-knowing, all-Good, and all-powerful?"
"Yes."
"Then why does he allow evil?"
"For the sake of free will?"
"How can the will be free?"
"It must be shaped by the Mind or the Intellect."
"Have you shaped your will?"
The Will. It was a very elementary thing. Without the will, nothing really happened. Sexual desire was shaped by the will. Yes, those young lovers under the light which seemed to whiten their bodies to the point of no endurance... yes, the will was a very natural and powerful thing so it had to be informed by the Intellect.
Gabriel noticed that all members were staring curiously at him.
"What nature does, I neglect," he answered.
Laziness, he knew very well. There were other things he knew also. He knew dreams. He loved to dream. He dared to dream. Now, stars were dancing over the young bodies at the center.
"What is the number of the Goddess?"
"432"
"666"
"So now we must work towards the Good. We must get beyond this stillness. Light is stronger than darkness."
