The Current Millenial Culture 2

Millenial culture is a deeply generous culture in one sense. There's the online encyclopedias for free. There's online pronography for free. There are plenty of self-help online resources too. The online culture seems to be an expression of the free information and free love culture of the 60's as understood through the current culture. There are brave young souls who publish literary magazines, hoping to make a difference in the world. There are really many brave young millenials, but I wonder if they really understand the world around them.
Minorities (I mean non-whites) are going through an existential experience. They want to shake off the influence of the West and create their own identities. They see the Western World as a relic of the past, controlled by some secret, elite power source that they do not understand. As of right now, Asia seems to be following the Western lead. In another sense, it is very difficult to see any identity forming outside of the anxiety of influence. The influence of the father and mother shape the formative periods a child. Minorities, many of them, have lost faith in whites. At the same time, if South Africa is any sign of what is to come, the black leaders are not all that better than the white leaders of the past. But at least they are black.
Millenials enjoy conversations and they are willing to listen to you. I always feel that the older generation is preaching down on me, and their ideas have become fixed. Stereotypes are ideas that have become fixed. The world is much more fluid than we think. Ideas make us think that there are permanents, but, in reality, there are only permanent processes, permanent processes of power.
