Dear Lord

Humble me my Lord,
humble me,
proud as a fortress have I become,
proud and arrogant like a fool.
Nothing can come into me,
nothing can revive me
but a dirty woman.
I'm sick and tired of people
asking me the same questions about hair salons,
"do you cut hair?"
the same fucking questions
over and over again
like a parrot.
I grow cold toward people
who think they know everything,
i know why they are that way,
i know they are proud too,
but my pride makes sense, theirs
doesn't.
humble me my Lord,
let your renewal come to me
through your son
through your son,
the humbler i become
the more
they want to fuck me up the ass
and make me into a gook.
They want to make you humble
but they grow proud in making in humble,
the more humble they become,
they more envious they become of the humble.
a lot of humbleness, the envy of pride.
Humble me my Lord
humble Me,
see through me,
help me avoid dumb and unpleasant people
who think they know everything,
let not my knowledge
make me poor, dumb, and blind.
Humble me My Lord,
Humble me.

'Nothing can come into me..
'Nothing can come into me...but a dirty woman.' ???
'my pride makes sense, theirs
doesn't.'
'They want to make you humble
but they grow proud in making (in ?) humble,
the more humble they become,
they more envious they become of the humble.
a lot of humbleness, the envy of pride.' - (I didn't understand this line.)
'humble Me,
see through me,
help me avoid dumb and unpleasant people
who think they know everything,
let not my knowledge
make me poor, dumb, and blind.'
Interesting use of contradictions. Even in the prayer - in the request for it, displayed, is a lack of humility, which is the great admission in this piece. Some things didn't make sense to me, though - and you'll probably hate me for joining the parrots in asking, but - are you a hairdresser?
