If I met Jesus

if I met Jesus
I would tell him how much I love him
for saving me
from Satan
the mousetrap, how
he has a heart of gold
more delicate than the players of harps
singing songs to Heaven's Gates,
how beautiful and amazing and artless he is
in his wisdom,
how he took people apart in order to bring them together
to a higher peace
shabbat
into realms e'er higher
roses growing into stars blushing into the night delirius
singing kumba yah my lord
until the sickness of peace, love, and joy overtook us, taking apart Dionysius
and feasting upon his flesh,
I looked upon myself and wondered what I had become
while loving Jesus.
It is but a thin line between good and evil, good attracts evil
but does not cause it,
under the stars, I praised God with all my heart
found peace with the universe
til my mind disappeared
and found myself eating human flesh in my dreams
living like an immortal
memoryless, confounded, and boundless
singing endless kum ba yas
who is there amongst the host of heavens
who can lend a hand
let Christmas through
love's labor lust
through the nights I worked
shining my poems to a key
finding skeletons in my closet
auditioning for real horrorshow blackouts of pains
blowing the hydras of innocence to bits,
under the night sky where opera bubbled in majesty.
