The Interrogation of Gabriel

Gabriel was walking home from work, very stressed. He was wondering why Korean-Americans were so lazy. Every time he turned his back, they were smoking cigarettes or doing something else. It disturbed him that people were like that and then it occurred to him that he was like that. It was so difficult to focus these days with all these cultural messages floating around, like bubbles or archetypal images. He had seen the Blue Man Group and it had de-stressed him.
He was turning the corner when he was lifted off the ground by 2 men. They rushed him into a van and then shoved him into a bag. They finger-rolled the bag while making the sounds of the waves, swish swish rooooooooooooooooooooarrrrrr ditto. They sealed the bag shut and threw him over a bridge.
Gabriel felt like he was drowing. NO, he did not feel like that at all. Instead, he felt like he was in the womb, comfortable. He swam upward and came out of the river, looking like a navy seal. He felt like he was in a bubble. How was he to get out. He was sure so he began to tear the bag with his teeth. Then he remembered. He had hidden a paperclip in his mouth. He began to pierce the bag wherever he could and he swam as much as he could, like a mouse running in a wheel. He was near the shore now. He was almost home.
