"Do you think she knows that we are having an affair?" Julie asked.
"She doesn't suspect a thing. She's still angry that my memory has chosen to forget her exclusively," Jay responded.
"It's rather curious that you do not remember her, just her, and no one else."
"I really don't know why that is. I should ask the neurologist."
"She didn't suspect that we were having an affair when you came home that night and fell down the stairs?"
"She told me that I had said that I was with my friends, partying."
"Do you believe her?"
"Why should I not believe her?"
Jay was thinking. Did he believe her? Now he would have to rely on her memory for all the times that they had shared together. Why would she lie though?
"What motive would she have for lying?" he asked.
"I'm just saying that she could make up almost anything and have you believe that THAT was what happened."
"Photographs don't lie, do they?"
"SO she backs up her stories with photographs."
