An airplane flew over them as they were in the restroom. Claire could hear the airplane. She could hear it so good. It was a beautiful bird-like sound, the sound of the airplane. They quickly left the nightclub and headed for the apartment. They walked quickly through the night, almost like shadows in the night. Endless the night sky, studded with stars, directing them onward toward the Milky Way or Seas of Unknown Places, time being a continuous entity, the present forever and nothing else, units of being fluid and forever, neverending and never causing anything and as we observe time, it seems to move slower when lesser bodies were in motion but when things clashed and clanged, there was the sound of time, moving onward and onward toward the future... inertia in space or vaccum, endless speculation. "What time is it?" asked Rachel. 12 o clock, split in time, between day and night, time to break through, break through the waves of time into the future anonymous. They entered the apartment and Claire lay down on the bed for a moment but it seemed to be steeped in deep time, deep sleep. Claire felt herself sinking into the bed. Rachel threw her off the bed. The bed collapsed in the middle and spikes came out and shut into a vertical column. "You knew that was going to happen," Claire observed. "What's going to happen now?" Gases started to come out the heating vent. It was poison gas. "Is this the end?" Rachel breathed in and then kissed Claire. She kissed her hard and what seemed to be forever. Their clothes were all gone, and they were nude kissing each other for endless moments in time, forever is endless. The ceiling opened and they entered the space-time continuum. "Do not be afraid, Claire." Rachel sped into the space-time continuum and soon her body was gone. Claire followed. Only Rachel's superego, ego, and id were flowing through the space-time continuum. Claire's followed. They were soon approaching the speed of light, and their supergo, ego, and id exploded simultaneously over and over again, over and over again, like one incredible multi-orgasm that blows the mind endless, over and over again. "What is the code to stop the nuclear bomb from being set off?" Claire saw the numbers and letter combination in her mind and gave it to Rachel. Rachel gave it to Kim. Now the boomerangs could come. These were from the Neo-Nazis who blamed the Freemasons for the New World Order. "Duck," They both Ducked. "Have you ever flown a glider?" No. "There's a first time for everything." Rachel shattered the window completely and then she jumped. Claire jumped after her. Glider...Claire let out her arms in triangular fashion. She resembled a stealth. Down, there was the sound of traffic and the Paris automobiles. There was a draft of wind, creating a tunnel effect... turbulence.... two stealth bombers passed by them at a very high speed. Two shadows grabbed Claire and Rachel and soon they were approaching the streets, the automobiles. They landed on top of a truck. They entered the back of the truck through the top. "Where are the Japanese?" "Car F." "How do we get there? Undergliders?" Rachel hated Undergliders but she was the thinnest. She got on the underglider and it shot through the streets, underneathe the cars. As soon as she got under "Car F,' she shot through the bottom of the car into the car and killed both passengers. She shifted and ended up hitting the sidewalk. She quickly got out and resumed walking on the streets.

Steve, I must admit to not
Steve, I must admit to not having read all of these, but this part, in particular, seems to stand alone.
I found it to be extremely atmospheric and loved the idea of time 'clashing and clanging' as it moves through space.
Chilling, and yet strangely compelling. Enjoyed, and shall try to catch up with a few more chapters.
Tina;-)

I think you have got that
I think you have got that quote perfectly right, Steve...and then Blake goes on to say: "Prudence is a rich, ugly old maid courted by Incapacity..."if my memory serves me correctly;-)
Have a good week, Steve.

I understand, now, Steve...I couldn't quite get to what Blake meant, but your explanation makes it all fall into place. Really enlightening;-) Thanks, again.
