Warm, Spring...

is miraculous
when the moon is half afloat, I wish
to ignite the stars
and sing lullabies to the dead.
the whisper of the night
striking in repose,
a lovely smile
as white as doves feathers,
the sigh of the sky,
a bowl
wonderous.
how i wish i had no home, lived
like those Hawaiians who pay a dollar in taxes,
have houses built for them by the US military
and still,
they live in tents next to beaches
with imported Australian sand
and miles of miles of bikini bodies and
smiles and smiles of happiness.
how i wish
how i wish my tears would float away in boats,
having
lived in my heart for so long without
within
not knowing
how to let go
and turn into hope-drops
of water
into streams of unending rebirth!
at last, i begin to see
i break so easily.
all the hairs of night
endlessly streaming
bathing my body, blowdrying
styling my soul
and saying, "I?"
at last, i can go on
