Migration

I leave the golden desert
where I have lived so long
and head south to the mountains.
I find them covered in
a gown of white snow.
Beneath the snow lies what I seek.
I stay here 'til the nature of the land
and that of my own being
calls me to move further down.
I follow the glacial landscape down
until I find two uncovered peninsulas.
They off in separate directions.
I wait here for some time
until the glaciers above recede
and the land beneath becomes free.
When it does, I shall go back
and look for what I came to find
in the untouched meadow of the world
