What A Show!

Alarms start screaming
The man who is about to rape me silences them all
No more noise
Only the ringing in my ear
And two separate breathing patterns
It’s winter
Cold
Where have the covers gone?
Don’t open your eyes
You might wake up
Lifted from my bed
The air gets warmer
The sky and the clouds above me
They get closer
Pulling me into the blinding white
What kind of angel am I?
Limp without wings
Suddenly Heaven hurts
Am I being punished?
The blinding white vanishes as I jolt downwards
Come crashing right back down to Earth
I can’t move my body anymore
Just lie, limp on the stage
A puppet who’s upper body's strings are cut
The audience is out there in the darkness
Watching this hideous performance
They grunt in approval as the puppet dances on her back
No strings attached
No hands
Just the burn between my legs
Turn your head to the left
Darkness
The audience to be heard but not seen
They love this show
Their grunts echo around the room above me
But travel in a single sound to my ear
Getting louder
Getting faster
The climax of this show is truly disgusting
But thank God it’s over now
The puppet master leaves me lying on the stage
The audience fades away into the darkness
Don’t open your eyes
You might wake up
7:30 in the morning
What a fucking show!
