Dull thoughts and shiny red shoes

Head dulled with paracetamol
Another migraine - again
internal monologue long gone
shiny red shoes numb the pain.
Through dim shafts of light
I see my red walking corvette
unashamedly bold
as the day they were bought
and still curious about the world,
how can I be sad with such laughing shoes?
