Low Man Due

Beneath this lonely Vail
The blackness covers the night
The street lights shelter the shadows
Rain falls to wash away
The soul that disappears through the moon light
This low man is due
My eyes seek something that’s real
My blood seeks my veins
I fall because I have let go
I am suffering here in this night
Do you understand that all I seek is forgiveness for the emptiness I leave behind?
This low man is due
But I can’t bear to see what I have let me be
Beneath this fragile heart a tear falls to the ground and falls away
All I want from you is what you gave
I cry my confessions to the rain
But the wind won’t blow my way
This low man is due
But forgiveness won’t forgive me
And now all I have is memory
The shelter has fallen to the rain
And all that remains is this low man due
Soaked in his ignorant hue
Soaked in the tears of you
Hopeless, forgotten but not from the pain
