The Rose & The Rock

There once was a lonely man who had had a very hard life. One day he found that he carried nothing but a rock in his heart. His feelings were very hard towards everyone he met. He never went to Church to share in the love and fellowship of the Lord. If he saw a homeless man on the street, he would just shrug his shoulders and he would never give him a cent out of mercy and compassion. He was hard and mean towards all men that he met, and he seldom smiled or laughed at all. Life was hard but so was he. That would never change he said to himself with a grim smile. Yet one lonely day he met the most lovely and charming young girl of all. He saw her at the corner shop and was taken by her love and charms of passion at once. He went home and that night he slept soundly for the first time in the longest of times. And as he slept, he dreamt dreams off love and flowers all night long. The next morning, he awoke refreshed and with a new spirit of love. He now found that he carried nothing but a beautiful rose of love in his hard heart forever thereafter. The impossible had happened to a man like himself, and the rock of hardness he always carried inside himself had now changed into the most beautiful red rose of all. Never say never. Love conquers all in the end.
