The Invisible Woman longed to be seen
but couldn't find a way to open his eyes
to her need.
She tried being good; she tried being bad.
Her soul remained a desert, eager for
the rain of recognition.
Resigned, she endured a life lacking
appreciation of her worth, her value,
appreciation of her worth, her value,
Until her will was broken.
But then, she discovered one who could see,
with eyes, that while blind to color,
were beautiful blue mirrors.
Once she felt the weight of his stare,
his complete knowingness,
She was captured and could never go back.
his complete knowingness,
She was captured and could never go back.
