Mrs Stewart.

Mrs Stewart had just had her gall stones removed! My Mum asked me to go to our local newsagents to buy her a get well card. I wanted to buy the best card in the shop as I was buying it on behalf of my Mum.
Then I found the perfect card! It had a large cross on the front, as we worship every Sunday and it had the words “With Sympathy” I chose that one because, we sympathize, that she had her gall stones removed. I paid for the lovely card and when Mum saw it, she was horrified and said I had to take it back and change it! She said this card is for someone who had died!!! I told Mum I didn't want to take it back, for I was sure they wouldn't exchange it, but I had to go back anyway, I had no choice. I walked in all timid and said to the three ladies behind the counter in the now empty shop, “Please can I change this card, my Mum wanted me to get a “Get Well Soon Card” they looked at my card and then at each other and laughed until they surely must must have wet themselves! They laughed so hard, they were bent over double and cried!!! I just stood there feeling like an idiot! When I found my voice again, I said, “So, can I change it?” They couldn't speak, I clearly made their day! One of them pointed to the cards to the back of the shop and nodded! I paid and couldn't wait to get out of the shop!
Can you imagine if I had given THAT card to Mrs Stewart?
