Mother

I see a million fools living and breathing
But I do nt see you
I miss you
I miss your voice and your smile
I wonder about the world
And I miss my first guide to it
I miss my friend , who shared in my joys and sorrows
Even when you where frail I saw in you a spirit which was stronger than the darkest night
A fighter to the last breath
One who tended fevered brows
And pricked the bubble of those who thought their position made them righteous
That such such a good soul can be born and be all that the word mother means fills a soul with hope in an imperfect world
