On the floor of a small but homey student apartment sits a young woman. It’s a brisk Monday morning and the sun has just creped its way through the windows and is half-way across the tiny dorm room floor. She sits with her back agents the opposite wall, in the decreasing shadow. She has just turned her copy of Against Me! White Crosses on her ever so faithful suit-case turntable. Thinking of all the places it has been there right next to her; home at her parents’ house, where she got it for Christmas one year, Harstad where she lived during her time in Upper Secondary. A tiny smile cruising on her lips, as she suddenly remembered as Ache With Me came through the speakers how it had been that exact same song that had played when she got the news that she had been accepted to the BA Acting course. And now here she is, she knows if she just tilts her head a little bit more back the contours of the school building roof would come to view. She hadn’t slept well and woke early by the sound of someone in the adjoining room stirring about. Probably just as her unable to sleep in anticipation to today’s first day of acting school. Maybe I should ask it he/she wants a cup of coffee seeing we’re both up. She thought, feeling a strange kind of union to this person she had never met. But no, not today, she decided agents it. She would have plenty of time getting to know her dormmates over the three years she had to look forward spending with them. She turned her head to the alarm clock; it was still a good half hour before she had to get ready. Closing her eyes, tilting her head back against the wall, she exhales deeply, not knowing how tens she had gotten, empties her mind and lets the music drown out all her anxiousness for just a few more minutes.
