The sun is setting.
It keeps crimsoning the sky
There’s no forgetting
that Tomorrow I may die.
2nd Verse:
But why feel sorrow
pondering upon my grave
when life’s so full of
wonders, like Aladdin’s cave.
Chorus:
Like the whistling wings of a Goldeneye;
like a missile, it sings, as it’s going by.
Hope to see many things before I die
like the whistling wings of a Goldeneye.
3rd Verse:
The sun is rising;
the black turning to blue
grabbing the horizon;
the sun’s climbing into view.
4th Verse:
My heart won’t regret
things I’ve missed when I am old.
I’ll see what secrets
this whole universe can hold.
Chorus:
Like the whistling wings of a Goldeneye;
like a missile, it sings, as it’s going by.
Hope to see many things before I die
like the whistling wings of a Goldeneye.
