At first, Travis Spano and Ricardo Ramos denied going to Days Inn to collect the luggage. Officer Torres showed them a footage from the security camera. Ricardo said it was not him who entered the lobby. The reception counter at the registration office did not enter into the camera view and it was not caught exactly his action of leaving the key on the counter top. They were caught on four other cameras in the premise with luggage. One on the second-floor corridor captured them go in and come out with the luggage pieces. They denied driving the van with the girls in it.
Later, Travis and Ricardo decided to enter into a second enquiry. They both confessed driving the girls in the Chevy to the boat in Playa Del Rey waters. They said it was Paul Clancy driving the van. They admitted going into Room 252 at Days Inn to remove the luggage pieces and later left them by the pool. Joe Garrison didn’t reply on the radio and Clancy suspected the girls got released. He cancelled his plan and called off Travis and Ricardo. They both admitted touching the girls in the white van. This white Chevy, 3D2 202, was registered to Linda Linz. Travis and Ricardo were mechanics. They worked for her too. They told the police that Clancy was to join them in the van to Mustang Island and denied knowing a reason. The Colt pistol that Travis pointed at the girls belonged to Clancy. Travis said that he forgot the Bronco key in his pocket so he threw it down on Padre Island Drive. Neither knew what happened to the mini-cassette recorder. Later believed to be discarded into the Packery Channel by Paul Clancy.
Linda Linz in a back pose, wearing a hoody, was caught on KGBT-TV stepping up and grasping Natalia by the biceps to remove her from the crowd. The white van kept out of media cameras.
George Crape saw the photos that Natalia gave to Wellinois. He called Paul Clancy and informed that she was at it again and in Baton Rouge. For this reason, Paul Clancy grew anxious to learn they were in Playa Del Rey. He saw them running behind the weatherworn trees. He abducted the girls to finish them.
Officer Torres closed the enquiries and entered them to the FBI system treating it as a federal crime that involved a series of scandals, corruption and murders.
Monday, 3:00 pm, Angela drove the Bronco out of Days Inn and climbed I-37 to exit towards the Harbour Bridge. They were excited about going to Houston. Angela was at the wheel when they arrived around 7:15 pm.
The Lancaster, 701 Texas Avenue, located in the Skyline District of Houston, was Natalia’s choice. It stood in the lights and shades, with a line of priced cars parked by the sidewalk, as Angela stopped an outmoded shadow blue Bronco by the golden gate.
“Look at the roadshow!” uttered Angela, “Those are expensive cars! A Cadillac, a Bentley, a Porsche…”
“Whoops!” exclaimed Natalia as she saw another floor to cross to the counter at the far end.
However, at the counter, she found remarkably cheap prices compared to Four Seasons where she stayed last time. This hotel was so full that the receptionist said they have very few options. She could have a Corner Suite on a special price for two hundred dollars per night. She was that lucky.
Located on a higher floor, 79 square metres, this room was the largest she ever had, with separate seating area. Windows on two sides with city view, flat screen TV, a felt carpet, white walls and a large comfortable bed with box spring mattress complete.
“Wow! This is cool!” cried Angela.
They went out to buy necessities and entered a spa. In every bar and restaurant, people mourned for the loss of the singer. It was here on February 26th this year, at the Houston Astrodome, that the singer performed for the last time, attended by an audience over 60,000 people.
Sheriff Mayron called, “You have to come back, Miss Natalia. FBI contacted us. They’ll be calling you.”
“Sir! I’ll have to drive,” said Natalia, “It will take a week for me to be there.”
“Alright. Take care!”
“That means you will have to fly home,” Natalia told Angela, “Honeymoon in Houston is over!”
“What about the rave?” asked Angela.
“I heard they called it off. It coincides with the singer’s birthday.”
Meanwhile, Diego Cavanes spoke to an FBI agent, Rene Esposito. “Sheriff Mayron sent this letter to give us freedom to act independently. We keep the forensics and information. You can have the objects. The case is solved as far as we are concerned. It put two girls in harm’s way. If not for them, we know nothing. It blew up in Clancy’s face. If you want our expertise, you’ll have to enter Teep’s standard procedures and rules of engagement. By that I mean you have to pay.”
“Absolutely,” agreed Esposito, “We don’t want to waste our time.”
“Let’s get started right away!”
“Jadon Quinn is under FBI surveillance. Once we have all the evidence, we act immediately.”
