All My Troubles

All my troubles,
From the book of the angel on my shoulder,
Those were sins,
My mother couldn’t forgive me forever…
Dry your eyes! I’m about to tell you when you die,
Close your eyes! I’m about to lose you in an eye,
Lend me an ear, I want to whisper if you hear,
Have no fear, you may have to hold back a tear,
Ask me why! I ran away from home as a child,
Don’t you cry! I’ve been growing up in the wild,
I’m a poor child and my shirt is torn by the seams,
I get wild hanging out in a pair of blue jeans,
All my troubles,
From the book of the angel on my shoulder,
Those were sins,
My mother couldn’t forgive me forever…
Ask me how! You can see a hole in my shoe,
Don’t you know! Nothing left in me there for you,
All your worries, you have vested burden in me,
All these years, I could hardly walk like a kid,
Oh mamma! I’m begging on the road for food,
All my life! I couldn’t even hold on for good,
I confess, I haven’t got a thing to offer,
If you miss, you may never find me in a coffer,
All my troubles,
From the book of the angel on my shoulder,
Those were sins,
My mother couldn’t forgive me forever…
Treat me kind! You have been a far better soul,
Raised a child! You have sold all of your gold,
I belong in the other side of this curtain,
I feel down to another place quite uncertain,
Please forgive! I have told you too many lies,
If I live! I can feel the pain in your eyes,
All my dreams, I may have to bury in a grave,
All my deeds, I haven’t got the courage to live,
All my troubles,
From the book of the angel on my shoulder,
Those were sins,
My mother couldn’t forgive me forever…
