I'm Checking In

I packed my bag and devices
I leave all the trouble
Cut down weight in kilos
And made for this travel
Look at the blank pages
My passport needs a stamp
How I missed so many places
I should have planned

A short ride to the airport
Across the scenic bridge
The plane spotters zooming out
As far the eyes could reach
Those drones are zigzagging
In way of the flight path
A jumbo drops its wheels hanging
From its fuselage

I’m checking in

That’s what I thought

I can see the aeroplanes
Through the glass panel
And a free meal on my plan
At this terminal
A backpack on my shoulder
And a ticket to escape
I check-in at the counter
To get on board a plane

I have saved a dollar
To buy some memories
Push aside the beer
To cut down on calories
All my dreams come true
With brandy, whiskey and wine
Drop a tip to the waiter
It’s worth every dime
