The Gun Compromise

hi folks,I may have made a mistake about my communication through poetry. I have only felt like writing a poem when there is in my opinion a popular or controversial issue. I wrote a humorous poem about Tim Tebow several months ago. Right now in the USof A there is a great issue, great consternation around the issue of deadly violence committed with military style weapons. I have a solution-a compromise that would limit deaths in mass shootings.So, I wanted a forum for my idea.Quite a problem to find a forum for ideas if you are an ordinary citizen.Being a part of the silent majority can be frustrating if you think that you have an idea to express. This forum seems to originate in the U.K.{because of the time stated. No problem for me because poetry is universal and I prefer BBC news to US.I would rather hear what the world thinks about the subprime crash caused by the Bush/Cheany admin.And what Norway thinks about health care and global warming. My poetry is basically terrible but I was desperate for a forum for my idea-which I felt was way better than my poetry. Now I see that the U.K already has a good handle on gun violence,also Australia. So, Im preaching to a choir. I will try to find a U.S. forum that is more opinion, issue, and idea oriented. My bad ! thank you.

Many other people have talked about magazine capacity.My solution is more unique than that. Magazine size is not a meaningful compromise.all involved groups need to both get and give something important.The 2nd amendment must be protected ; yet tweaked toward modern population density.Hunters as a group must be considered. mass weapon violence is paramount. street killings need to be slowed down in event intensity. The profits and margins of the gun manufacturers must be considered. The cost of police. The cost to society for parent and childhood anxiety. The solution, the compromise must be large and bold. Australia has done well at this.
