I sit
alone on my throne
condemn to disown
for whom it is shown,
to the wolves they are thrown.
For the shepards are waiting
as time is a-wasting
the serpents debating:
which one will feed first.
This gift is a curse
when neither is worse:
the victor, the vagrant,
each lacking remorse.
But this is the course
that both ends must take
to find what's at stake
with one willing to break
to land in a tomb
the holiest womb
as the being is here,
the body's exhumed.
