The Morning Comes

There's a girl standing there
Just across the way
She smiles softly
Content through the day
But when she leaves
A terrible pain
The joy vanishes
The happiness feigned
She writes her words
She survives the ache
She carries on
And in the morning She wakes
There's a boy standing there
Discontent fills his heart
He tries to mend it
But knows not where to start
He wanders around
Searching for hope
In the daylight
No way to cope
He says he is happy
He says he is fine
He feels in his heart
How much it does pine
A boy and a girl
Separate and sad
They put on a front
And say it's not bad
In each other
More can grow
The answer is obvious
And yet they don't know
So try as they might
To find sweet bliss
Forever and always
The two will miss
If they go on like this
Go on alone
Never will they
Find their true home
They walk the path
In the darkness of night
Wandering blindly
Looking for light
A converging path
Two and yet one
The two of them meet
In the morning sun
