After a while, we had finished our snowman and named it Gusty. For it seemed as if the Teanickels named every single favored thing that started with a g. I smiled at Geeni as she added the final touch, the carrot, to the snowman.
Geeni chirped," You see, we love snow. It's hard for us to wait so long to get to see snow again, but somehow we survive without the snow. That past week must have been hard for you. You must have not slept that well 'cuz of the dra-"
"Draft! At night, there is a draft going through the house, it must have been chilly for you since your room is closest to the door!" Gen interrupted, breaking a sweat.
"Oh, no, I didn't feel a draft. But I'll check it out. Does it bother you?"I mumbled.
"Dear no, not at all, why what a lovely snowman! What did you name him George?" she asked with a hurried expression.
"Oh well, it's-"
"Gusty!!! It's Gusty, mum!" Geeni smiled, patting Gusty.
"Very well. Its beautiful. Now do go in both of you, it's freezing out here!" Gen cried, sneezing.
We both nodded for we knew it was getting cold and our feets were soaked. Having a cup of hot chocolate, I chatted with Gwen for a while.
"How's school like?" I asked, taking a sip of my cocoa.
"Boring!!! I think school should be banned.... do you?" she sang, pursing her pink lips.
"Well personally, I think school gives you an education. I'd have to say somedays are boring." I smiled, giving her a nudge.
"Well I guess... how long are you staying here until? When's college?" she whispered, drinking her hot chocolate.
"About 2 weeks or so from now, I'm up for the writing exhibition as soon as it starts. And I'm gonna be here for a long while... hope you don't mind." I laughed.
"No.... not at all!" she exclaimed, blushing.
I nodded cheerfully and stood up.
"I'm gonna go get some more hot chocolate." I smiled, patting my tummy.
I went over to the kitchen sink and poured some hot chocolate in my cup. I took a sip and put the container back. I turned around to go back when I saw Gwen whispering with something....... a tiny.. tiny.. DRAGON! Speechless, I dropped my cup of hot chocolate.
"George!" Gwen shouted, quickly standing up.
"WHAT HAPPENED!?!?" Gen shrieked, running down the stairs, carrying Gerri.
"I- I saw a dr- a dra- a dragon!" I shivered, falling down to my knees.
"You were probably seeing things, George." Gen laughed, sweat forming on her face.
"N-NO!!!! I WASN'T SEEING THINGS, GEN! I SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES! I SAW IT!!! IT WAS TALKING TO GWEN AND IT WAS TERRIBLY TINY FOR ALL THOSE DRAGONS IN STORIES SAYING THAT THEY'RE HUGE MUST HAVE BEEN A BIG LIE!!!" I shrieked, looking at Gwen.
Terrified, Gwen ran upstairs. I looked at Gen as she faced the floor, with Gerri pulling at her hair. Geeni ran downstairs and looked at the dragon who was now sitting still, lifeless, as if it had never come to life.
