ANACHRONISTIC WAYS

Anachronistic Ways
Trespassing lizards still use
The same route.
Camouflaged, mute.
Yet the German-Shephard barks.
“It is the smell”, the shepherdess says.
The great lizard shies away
Anachronistic ways
Are the only way: the way of life
In these shires.
Telepathy of many kinds.
Form the core of communication.
No telephones or internet yet.
Nobody heard of excommunication! Or the world wars!
Bows and arrows, a game shoot!
Fire is still from Olympus!
Brought to the vale by Prometheus!
Imagine a world without Simon Cowell
Or Farage
The wine froths from Tirage
The lovers embrace
As the embers spill from mount Olympus
Yonder, rivals settle scores
With rhyming words
Anachronistic ways
A utopia trace in these shires
Buried deep in my heart of hearts

A world without Farage and
A world without Farage and Simon Cowell - now that would be a real utopia! I enjoyed this lovely reflective poem - except your many exclamation marks are still quite off-putting - I wonder if it's something standard in your mother tongue perhaps? It's a shame, because they are quite jarring to the reader as they don't 'translate' the same in english
