Saving God from Its Plunge Into Human Condition

God is itself no more
we have humanized it
into an angry boy pointing
a magnifying glass onto an anthill,
into a grotesque tyrant who exercises its absolute will,
upon the inferior
into a sexist priest who prefers masculinity to feminity
So it is up to us,
rebellious poets, to
take the role of modern iconoclasts
and restore God
to Its former glory, to its
untainted magnificence
