It takes two

If our DNA should halt its instructions to our RNA to form new cells, then that would bring about our cessation. Similarly, if the media should sever ties with the state, then the latter would become handicapped, powerless, hence losing its credibility.

They are the ultimate conspirators; the dream team. The state must be infinitely appreciative of the media, its loyal sidekick, which has never failed in its duty as agent, mouthpiece, alibi and intermediary.

How do they work with each other? Well, generally speaking, the state provides the skeletons to issues, whereas, the media puts on the flesh to the bones. For instance, the state with its paternalistic propensity, can create widespread panic and havoc among citizens with a little help from its friend, the media, when it pleases or suits the interest of the state itself. There is therefore, something sinister behind most stories that dominate the news.

I wonder what was behind the outbreak of the foot and mouth disease. Well, they had an influx of poultry owing to bad planning, inept forecasting or overall mis-management, and they wanted to get rid of it. Or, since they have been pretty vocal about how red meat is bad for us, they simply wanted us to avoid it and opt for healthier options such as poultry or fish.

We must have five portions of fruits and vegetables each day according to daddy. That amounts to nothing more than an empty cliche nowadays. Some of us cannot even afford one portion. No wonder the admonishment is just been heard and not listened to.

However, someday the state will reach the end of its tether with us. So it might engage the service of its trusted ally to drive the point down our throats.

A commisioned study will be analyzed by virtually everyone with a platform or a forum. The conclusion could be that if we dont embark on a five-a-day regime, our life expectancy will be slashed to one-half of those of some of the most impoverished parts of the world. Our fertility will suffer serious damage or our aging process will be precipated. Whatever.

The state is constantly suspicious of us. They want to know what we are thinking, how much we know or whether we suspect what they have been up to. They want to know to what extent we have been wising up or how enlightned we are. No wonder you lot are running the Conspiracy Theory scheme. There is more than meets the eye here.

A consultancy firm has been charged with the responsiblity of reading every single one of these entries so that they can better analyze our psyche. A report will be prepared and depending on the findings, actions may or may not be taken. I
